
A two-day international workshop on Medical Imaging Informatics successfully concluded at Unico Hospitals, Green Road, Dhaka, bringing together national and international experts and medical imaging professionals.
The workshop was organized by the Bangladesh Association of Radiology & Imaging Technologists (BARIT), sponsored by FujiFilm Asia Pacific Healthcare Learning Institute (FAHLA), Singapore, supported by the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists (ISRRT), and hosted by Unico Hospitals PLC.
Distinguished speakers included Dr. Napapong Pongnapang, President of ISRRT; Dr. Esnu Halim, Director of FAHLA; and Mr. Emman C. Tamon, Clinical Imaging Application Analyst, American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII), USA.
The workshop focused on medical imaging informatics, digital workflow, data management, interoperability, technological innovation, and the future of imaging services. The sessions provided participants with valuable opportunities to enhance their professional knowledge and exchange international experiences.
At the closing ceremony, Ardra Kurien, CEO of Unico Hospitals delivered speeches emphasizing the importance of continuous professional development and technological advancement in healthcare.
Md. Mofazzal Hossain, President of BARIT, and Khaza Main Uddin Manzu, Secretary of BARIT, also addressed the programme and highlighted BARIT’s commitment to advancing the knowledge and professional competencies of medical imaging professionals through continuous education, knowledge sharing, and exposure to international expertise.
The successful workshop reflects the shared commitment of BARIT, FAHLA, ISRRT, and Unico Hospitals to professional excellence, innovation, and the advancement of medical imaging practice in Bangladesh.
