Unico Hospital Observes World Laboratory Day with Scientific Program and Expert Presentations

Unico Hospital proudly organized a special program in observance of World Laboratory Day 2026 on 23rd April, bringing together distinguished laboratory professionals, clinicians, and healthcare experts to highlight the critical role of laboratory medicine in modern healthcare, diagnostics, and scientific advancement.

In alignment with this year’s global theme, ‘A Day at the Lab,’ Unico Hospital has dignifiedly adopted its own Laboratory Day CME theme: ‘Meet the Lab: Your Partner in Clinical Care.’ This theme highlights the vital role of laboratory services as an integral partner in accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and overall patient care.

The event featured insightful presentations from a panel of respected experts, including Dr. A B M Abdul Wadud, Senior Consultant – Microbiology & Infection Control, Unico Hospital; Dr. Ibrahim Iqbal, Chief Consultant & Director – Quality Assurance, P2P Health Care, Chattogram; Dr. Tanjina Afrin, Associate Consultant, Clinical Haematology, Unico Hospital; and Prof. Brig. Gen. Dr. S. M. Mahbubul Alam (Retd), Senior Consultant, Evercare Hospitals, Dhaka.

In addition, Medical Technologists team at Unico Hospital also contributed to the program through informative presentations on various relevant topics.
