Unico Hospital PLC proudly celebrated World Radiography Day 2025 on November 8, commemorating the historic discovery of X-rays by Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen in 1895 — a breakthrough that marked the beginning of a new era in medical science. 

This year’s global theme, “Empowering Healthcare Through Imaging Excellence,” highlights the vital role of Radiographers, Radiological Technologists and Radiologists in advancing modern medicine and ensuring accurate diagnosis and quality patient care.

The event brought together Radiology Technologists, Radiologists, and medical professionals from across Bangladesh to recognize their contributions and knowledge sharing. A scientific session was held covering various topics in diagnostic imaging and technological advancements in radiology.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Brig. Gen. Dr. Sharif Ahmed, Chief of Medical Services. The Special Guests included the President of the Radiologist Society of Bangladesh and the President of the Radiology and Imaging Technologist Society of Bangladesh along with various leaders from the radiology community from both the government and private healthcare institutions. The program concluded with inspiring closing remarks by MS. Ardra Kurien, CEO of Unico Hospital PLC.

Unico Hospital reaffirmed its commitment to promoting excellence in medical imaging and continuous professional development among radiology professionals in Bangladesh.
