The birth of baby Mahira on 8th of September 2025 marks a joyful moment for her family and a milestone for Unico Hospital. We at Unico Hospital congratulate the proud parents of little Mahira.

Baby Mahira is the first baby born in the birthing suite of the Mother and Baby unit at Unico Hospital, marking the beginning of a new chapter in safe maternal care. Our team, led by Dr. Fatema Yasmin, Sr. Consultant- Obstetrics and Gynecology conducted normal vaginal delivery even though the mother had the first child through a caesarian section (VBAC). The patient was prepared from her early pregnancy for a planned VBAC and the hospital team was well prepared to manage any complicated emergency during the labour process.
