Unico
Hospitals PLC has launched a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative
titled “Caring for the Bond of Health and Hardship – Health Card Program” to provide essential healthcare services to
underprivileged communities, particularly rickshaw pullers and CNG drivers.
Under the
initiative, a Health Card Program has been introduced, offering 2 years free
medical consultations and access to essential healthcare facilities for
rickshaw pullers, CNG drivers, and their family members.
The launching
ceremony was attended by Ardra Kurien,
Chief Executive Officer of Unico Hospitals PLC, Brigadier General
(Retd.) Dr. Sharif Ahmed, Chief of Medical Services, and senior management
officials. Speakers emphasized the importance of social responsibility in
healthcare and Unico Hospitals’ commitment to supporting vulnerable groups. More
than 150 rickshaw pullers and CNG drivers attended the event.
Unico Hospitals stated that the initiative aims to make quality healthcare more accessible and to promote ethical, affordable, and inclusive medical services for all.
