Unico Hospital PLC Launches Integrated Antenatal Care Package

January 7, 2026: Unico Hospitals PLC has launched a comprehensive Antenatal Care Package aimed at providing continuous and integrated care for expectant mothers from conception through the postpartum period.

The Package includes routine antenatal check-ups, structured educational sessions for couples, pregnancy and labor exercises, guidance on pain management during labor, postpartum care, and newborn care. It also emphasizes partner and family involvement to support maternal mental and emotional well-being.

The program was inaugurated by Prof Dr Farhana Dewan, Chairman of OGSB Hospital & IRCH and immediate past president of OGSB. The event was attended by Unico Hospital CEO Ardra Kurien, Chief of Medical Services Brig Gen Dr Sharif Ahmed, consultants from obstetrics and gynecology, neonatology and anesthesiology departments, as well as expectant mothers and their spouses.

Unico Hospital stated that the initiative aims to promote natural childbirth, including VBAC, reduce unnecessary cesarean deliveries, and ensure respectful maternity care.
