About Prof. Dr. H. Aftab Rosy :

Professor (Dr.) Hafeza Aftab Rosie is a distinguished and pioneering force in Bangladeshi gastroenterology, holding the distinction of being the nation's first female interventional endoscopist. After completing her MBBS from Chittagong Medical College she pursued an MD in Gastroenterology from Bangladesh Medical University along with advanced training in interventional endoscopy and research both at home and abroad (AIG India, Japan, USA). Her research contributions have been widely recognized, with a number of publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals.

With over 25 years of experience, including serving as the Chairman of the Department of Gastroenterology at a leading government medical college (Dhaka Medical College), a testament to her academic and leadership excellence in shaping the next generation of gastroenterologists. Simultaneously, as a Senior Consultant at Evercare Hospital she provided personalized, patient-centric care using state-of-the-art facilities.

Beyond her academic and clinical roles, she leads various local community awareness programs aimed at promoting digestive health and preventing common diseases through education and screening initiatives.

Through her global collaborations, she ensures her patients receive care that incorporates the latest international advancements in gastroenterology.
